Wakes me up at night, and when it happens during the day it makes me gasp it hurts so much. It may happen 1x per day or a dozen times a day.I have sharp shooting pain in my second toe that comes on quick %26amp; settles just below the nail area. Any ideas?
Please check with your doctor as it may be a sign of high blood pressure and if it goes numb it could turn into a stroke. That happened to my relative and she was under her 30's. These are small details we should pay attention to. Even if the tiniest smallest part of your body hurts you should always get it check, you don't lose much.

Definitely have a Dr. answer this question. Could be gout if you don't remember injuring foot. Lots of good meds available and diet can also help if gout.
