Shoe polish will come off on clothing and oftne contains silicones that are not good for leather - so these should be avoided.

First check the type of leather you have as this will be imprtant to the type of repair that can be doen

You cannot get the scratches out as they are damage to the surface finish and will need repairing.

If you have a pigment coated leather and the scratches are surface only (have not broken through to the leather itself) then you could try Easy Colour

If the scratches are very deep they will need to be repaired with pigment coloured to match your leather - be wary of DIY products sold over the internet as these very rarely work and are generally not good quality pigments - use professional repair products.

If you do not want to do the repair yourself call in a qualified technician who will have the correct products to do the work
dark brown shoe polish. %26amp; a thick blanket to protect the couch from the dogs nails ( we bought a leather couch--then got a dog. have thick blankets covering the whole couch. haven't seen leather in 2 years except when I wash the blankets)
